We have two counties Yavapai & Coconino. The City of Sedona does not govern the Fire or School Districts
nor does it control the Sedona Airport.
The Fire and School Districts along with the Sedona Airport
encompass the city limits of
Sedona and the counties of Coconino & Yavapai.
The City of Sedona is in both Yavapai and Coconino counties. The City of Sedona gets funding from both for services like flood control. Property Taxes are paid through the county in which the property is located. Property Taxes pay for Schools, Fire Districts, Health Services along with other County services. These services are not part of the City of Sedona.
